Twenty-Six Pieces
This body of work was exhibited in 2016 at the Chaffey Community Museum of Art in Ontario, California. It was made out of inspiration by the works of colleague, Ray Kampf. Ray exhibited a series of vector digital illustrations integrating his comical and original figures with the alphabet. I loved them!
My alphabet series combined small clay sculptures utilizing figures and objects that began with the letters of the alphabet, and with each, I paired a short poem. Images of this exhibit can be found in a small booklet I published titled, Oddball, Goofs, and Sundry Things, An Alphabet of Ceramic Meanderings By Gina Lawson Egan
